What is the difference between AP Calculus AB and BC?
AP Calculus BC includes all of the topics in AP Calculus AB and adds additional material, including advanced integration techniques, parametric equations, polar coordinates, vector-valued functions, and infinite sequences and series.
If I take AP Calculus BC, can I still take the AB exam?
Yes. However, students who take the BC exam also receive an AB subscore, which reflects performance on the AB portion of the curriculum.
Has this course been audited and approved by the College Board?
Yes. The AP Calculus courses have been audited and approved by the College Board and are designed to follow current AP Calculus curriculum requirements.
Who is eligible to take the course?
Students in grades 9–12 who have completed Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Elementary Functions are the best fit. Precalculus is highly recommended.
Is the course asynchronous or synchronous?
The course is asynchronous. Students do not need to log in at specific times, and course materials are available 24/7. Optional live sessions may also be offered.
Do you accept homeschoolers and students from public or private schools?
Yes. The course welcomes homeschoolers as well as students from brick-and-mortar and online public, private, and international schools.
Do students receive AP exam practice?
Yes. Students complete intensive AP-style review with multiple-choice and free-response practice to prepare thoroughly for the exam.
